Terms of Service

Last updated: October 28, 2025

The No-BS Summary

By using IndiePulse, you agree to these terms. This is a binding contract, so please read it. The most important part is a concept called "Limitation of Liability" (Section 6). It means that while we try our absolute hardest to provide a perfect service, we are a $9/mo tool, not a multi-million dollar insurance policy. You can't hold us liable for catastrophic damages (like lost revenue) if your site goes down and one of our alerts is delayed or fails. You are responsible for your own business.

Also, don't use our service to do illegal or harmful things. We'll ban you if you do.

1. The Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the IndiePulse website and services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. The 30-Day Trial

Your use of the Service begins with a 30-day free trial of our "Founder Plan." We do not ask for a credit card. After 30 days, your monitors will be paused. To continue using the Service, you must choose a paid plan ("Maker" or "Founder") and provide valid payment information.

3. Billing and Payment

Plans are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis via our payment processor, Stripe. All payments are non-refundable. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time from your "Account" page. If you cancel, your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle.

4. Acceptable Use

You are responsible for your own conduct. You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Monitor any website or service that you do not own or have explicit permission to monitor.
  • Monitor any website related to illegal activities, hate speech, or harassment.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, "DDoS," or otherwise hack or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.

We reserve the right to terminate your account immediately if you violate these terms.

5. Termination

You can stop using the Service and cancel your account at any time. We can also suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause. If we terminate your account for violating these Terms, you will not receive a refund.

6. Limitation of Liability (The Important One)

The Service is provided "as is," without any warranties. While we will make every reasonable effort to ensure our Service is accurate and reliable, we do not guarantee that it will be 100% error-free or that alerts will always be delivered instantly.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, IndiePulse (including its founder and employees) will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your use of the Service; (b) any failure of the Service to perform, including any missed or delayed alerts. You are still responsible for your own business continuity and redundant systems. Do not use IndiePulse as your sole, mission-critical failsafe.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a major change, we'll email you to let you know. Continuing to use the Service after changes means you agree to the new terms.
